"BEHOLD, I MAKE ALL THINGS NEW"

(THE CHRISTIAN VERSION)

Revelation 21:5

"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea". Revelation 21:1

When this Earth and Heaven are destroyed, a 'New Heaven and a New Earth' will be revealed. On this New Earth is the New Jerusalem where Lord God and Jesus will reside.

According to Christianity, when the righteous are 'transformed' through Jesus into 'spiritual beings' with a celestial body,"We will be like him" (Job 14:14; Psalms 17:15; John 4:23-24; 1 Corinthians 15:51; 2 Corinthians 3:18). Immortality through The Tree of Life is granted as is a new name, and a new home. 'Paradise' with Lord God and Jesus, the angels and other heavenly spirit beings (Revelation 21:3, 12, 22; Revelation 22:2, 14).

The city and the streets are made of pure gold and are described as 'like transparent glass'. The city is 1500 miles in length, 1500 miles in breadth, and 1500 miles in height. The twelve foundations of the city each have the names of the twelve apostles in them and are made of precious stones such as jasper, sapphire, chalcedony, emerald, sardonyx, sardius, chrysolite, beryl, topaz, chrysoprasus, jacinth and amethyst. The walls of the city are made from jasper (Revelation 21:14, 16, 18-20).

The city also has twelves gates which are made of pearls. There is an angel at each gate. There are three gates facing north, three gates facing east, three gates facing south, and three gates facing west. On each gate is the name of one of the twelve tribes of Israel. The gates to the city are never closed (Revelation 21:12-13, 21, 25).

A river known as 'The Water of Life' flows from the thrones of lord god and Jesus, and by the river in the city street is 'The Tree of Life' to be eaten by the saints and be 'healed'. 'The Tree of Life' also sustains the immortality of the saints (Revelation 21:1-3, Revelation 21:21; 22:2, 4).

There is no temple in the city as lord god and Jesus are the temple, and the saints will serve and worship lord god (John 4:23; Revelation 21:22; 22:3). There is no need for a sun as lord god and Jesus are the light, and there is no need for a moon as there is no night (Revelation 21:23).

Jesus said he would go to prepare a place for his saints, and in his Father's house were many mansions (John 14:1-3). Instead of trying to kill and eat the wildlife (animals, birds, creatures, fish etc), and vice versa, there will be full communication between species. Everyone and everything in and on this new world will be at peace together (Isaiah 65:25).

Our works here on this current Earth, will determine our reward and responsibility in 'The New World' (Matthew 16:27; Luke 20:35; 2 Corinthians 5:10). The saints can build their own houses to live in in our own style and in our own fashion. They will plant their own food to eat which will grow without blemish because there is no more 'curse' on The Earth (Revelation 22:3). Their work will not be in vain like it is here, they will enjoy it and reap the rewards (Genesis 3:17; Isaiah 65:21-22; Revelation 22:3).

How Can We Get There?

Jesus stated, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (John 14:6). Also, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these" (Matthew 22:3-38; Mark 12:30-31). "He that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved" (Matthew 24:13). "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved" (Mark 16:16).
